Job Overview

The position is leading Production Planning to ensure established goals and objectives are met/exceeded. The focus of this position is to deliver top notch service to internal and external customers while working to reduce inventory. Specific duties may be altered from time to time to accomplish company goals.

A Day In The Life

  • Provide guidance to the Production Planning and Purchasing functions within the Company.
  • Direct Production Planning and Scheduling activities in order to exceed delivery requirements.
  • Project management for priority customer orders, coordinating with necessary department to achieve success.
  • Develop and distribute daily reports for Operations, Planning, and Leadership to drive necessary actions. Interact with all departments as needed, including Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, and Operations.
  • Key member of new product meetings.
  • Team Lead for physical inventory.
  • Plan and purchase assigned products.
  • Performs other tasks and projects, as assigned by Management.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of production planning required.
  • Proven ERP/MRP experience required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Multitasking skills required.
  • Customer service experience desired but not required.
