Hubbell Incorporated | Diversity Employer
Hubbell Incorporated is a global manufacturer of utility and electrical solutions. Our dependable products and services enable customers to operate safely, reliably, efficiently, and sustainably.
Our portfolio of 70 well-respected brands work together to add value for our users. With a tradition of quality and innovation built more than a century ago, our solutions empower and energize communities in front of and behind the meter.
Where We Began:
The Hubbell history of innovation extends back to 1888. Founder Harvey Hubbell developed tooling and equipment to serve the growing demand for manufacturing machinery during the industrial revolution.
The advent of the light bulb and electric power opened new opportunities for our company. Hubbell invented new ways to serve our growing customer base of businesses, manufacturers, utilities, and homeowners. Early patents include the “pull chain lamp socket” and “separable plug and receptacle” we still use today.
The Foundation of Our Success
Four strategic pillars guide our culture and business practices to provide new opportunities. Each pillar impacts the others to build up our customers, partners, employees, and our communities.
- Serve Our Customers. We listen to our customers to develop long-term relationships and trust. By understanding what they expect, we help them achieve their goals.
- Operate with Discipline. Taking waste out of the process and replacing it with value-added functionality is a core attribute of our lean operating philosophy.
- Grow the Enterprise. Our strategy combines entrepreneurship, market creation, organic growth, and acquisitions. This way, Hubbell evolved from a family-owned business to a global employer.
- Develop Our Employees. We strive to hire the right people and create an environment where they can thrive in their careers. We offer development programs, foster diversity of ideas, and commit ourselves to the highest ethical standards.
