Manager - Logistics Inventory

Job Summary: Responsible for the, execution and supervision of an Inventory Control System in accordance with contract and regulatory requirements. Primary Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   • Supervise the Logistics & inventory personnel.
  • Manage, organize, and maintain all assigned storage areas and shelving units.
  • Ensure effective and accurate tracking of all incoming material receipts.
  • Conduct periodic consumables cycle count and bin location validity.
  • Ensure proper re-packing of materials/equipment to be returned to suppliers.
  • Conduct monthly inventory audits.
  • Schedule and implement annual inventory audit.
  • implement and maintain all inventory and asset labeling systems.
  • Manage and operate all inventory and asset control programs.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Comply and cooperate with all Government Dockmaster policies and procedures.
  • Ensure organization of the storage areas, furable and consumable issuance to requestors and the execution of the receiving, barcoding/labeling/binnin, and adherence to inventory management processes and procedures.
  • Maintain and submit tracking reports, item inventories, quantity shortages and supply requests.
  • Manage and maintain adequate inventory of logistics operational equipment, supplies and materials.
  • Advise company management on opportunities for operational improvement and increased efficiency.
  • Provide any management or Government requested reports in a timely manner.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)
  • HS Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required. Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
  • Five to six years of experience in Inventory Control required.
  • Documented experience with DOD inventory regulations preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Requires excellent verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills.
  • Ability to create momentum and foster organizational change. Requires computer knowledge and experience leading to proficiency in Microsoft Office including experience developing presentations in PowerPoint.
  • Requires intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience leading to proficiency in Inventory and Asset Control programs.
  • A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.
