Senior Cyber Engineer & Cyber Lead

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • 3 years minimum experience as Senior Cyber Engineer & Cyber Lead supporting a DOD program of similar size and scope (33-40 personnel)
  • Active ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
  • 5 years minimum of hands-on professional experience as Senior Cyber Engineer & Cyber Lead for program/project of similar size and scope (33-40 personnel)
  • Possess IAT/IAM Level II or greater (e.g. Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT related field


SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING

This team is challenged daily to provide cutting edge technology solutions to our clients. SRC is searching for a well-rounded Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead the Infrastructure Design and Architecture, Implementation and Deployment, Security and Compliance, Performance Monitoring and Optimization of all infrastructure installations for United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) command and control facilities. Manages and coordinates the cabling infrastructure design and provide installation oversight at a new facility by engaging with functional area managers (FAMs) and other engineers. Work supporting USSPACECOM will be conducted at the government's facilities in Colorado Springs, CO.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Develops and designs comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and architectures that meet USSPACECOM requirements
  • Ensures cybersecurity measures are scalable, secure, and capable of integrating with existing and future USSPACECOM infrastructure
  • Implements and enforces USSPACECOM cybersecurity protocols and policies within system designs
  • Ensures all systems comply with USSPACECOM regulations, standards, and best practices, including NIST guidelines and other relevant frameworks
  • Provides technical leadership to the cybersecurity team and other IT staff
  • Serves as the subject matter expert on cybersecurity technologies and practices
  • Identifies, assesses, and prioritizes threats and vulnerabilities to the IT infrastructure
  • Develops and implements mitigation strategies to protect against potential cyber threats
  • Develops and maintains an incident response plan to address cybersecurity breaches
  • Leads the response to cybersecurity incidents, coordinating efforts to contain and remediate threats
  • Implements and manages security monitoring tools to detect and respond to security events
  • Analyzes security data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential threats
  • Conducts regular security audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls
  • Ensures that identified issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner
