Senior Infrastructure Engineer & Infrastructure Lead

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • 5 years minimum experience as Senior Infrastructure Engineer & Infrastructure Lead supporting a DOD program of similar size and scope (33-40 personnel)
  • Active Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI) Registered Communications Distribution Design (RCDD) certification
  • 7 years minimum of hands-on professional experience as Senior Infrastructure Engineer & Infrastructure Lead for program/project of similar size and scope (33-40 personnel)
  • Master's level degree in an Engineering, Computer Science, or IT related field
  • Possess IAT/IAM Level II or greater (e.g. Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.)


SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING

At the core of our capabilities is a seasoned team of highly skilled engineers and scientists with multidisciplinary backgrounds. This team is challenged daily to provide cutting edge technology solutions to our clients. SRC is searching for a well-rounded Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead the Infrastructure Design and Architecture, Implementation and Deployment, Security and Compliance, Performance Monitoring and Optimization of all infrastructure installations for United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) command and control facilities. Manages and coordinates the cabling infrastructure design and provide installation oversight at a new facility by engaging with functional area managers (FAMs) and other engineers. Work supporting USSPACECOM will be conducted at the government's facilities in Colorado Springs, CO.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Develops and designs robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure architectures that meet USSPACECOM requirements
  • Ensures infrastructure solutions integrate seamlessly with existing and future USSPACECOM systems
  • Leads the implementation and deployment of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud solutions
  • Ensures infrastructure components are installed and configured correctly and efficiently
  • Implements and enforces USSPACECOM security protocols and policies within the infrastructure design
  • Ensures infrastructure solutions comply with USSPACECOM regulations, standards, and best practices, including cybersecurity requirements
  • Monitors infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues
  • Implements optimization strategies to enhance infrastructure efficiency, reliability, and performance
  • Collaborates with project managers to integrate infrastructure tasks into the overall project plan.
  • Oversees the execution of infrastructure-related deliverables, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
  • Evaluates and selects technologies and vendors that align with USSPACECOM criteria and project requirements
  • Manages relationships with technology vendors to ensure they deliver on their commitments.
  • Develops and implements disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the IT infrastructure
  • Ensures infrastructure components support high availability and rapid recovery in the event of an incident
