Administrative Specialist

Key Role:

Provide mission-critical administrative and clerical support to our clients in the Army. Serve as the secretary and principal assistant responsible for planning, coordinating, and performing a variety of administrative services required to accomplish the work of the organization. Leverage knowledge of administrative concepts and services to develop internal processes and procedures that implement regulations and directives. Provide technical advice, guidance, and assistance to leadership in administrative areas, notifying them of changes in controlling regulations and providing recommendations they can leverage to accomplish their missions. Maintain budgetary records and schedules for leadership. Review and route incoming and outgoing correspondence accordingly. Use Microsoft Word to prepare documents and communications from written material, brief instructions, or voice recordings pertaining to military and non-military correspondence, narrative and tabulated reports, or travel documents. Utilize knowledge of regulations and procedures to determine the number of copies required and arrange material in proper formats. Proofread completed work for accuracy in spelling, grammatical construction, and punctuation. Plan, coordinate, and review travel matters. Perform other administrative or clerical support services as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in an administrative professional role
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite tools, including SharePoint and Teams, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience coordinating and scheduling travel using systems, including DTS
  • Experience maintaining calendars using Microsoft Outlook and Teams
  • Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and style
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels to assist in the planning and coordination of activities
  • Ability to maintain budgetary, timekeeping, evaluation, and training records using systems, including ATAAPS
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Government systems and process administration, including Defense Travel System (DTS), ATAAPS, TAPES, awards, visitors, credit cards, suggestions, office administration, suggestions, forms and publications, supplies and equipment, classified information, security issues, or property accountability
  • Experience supporting DoD components
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent activities of varying complexity, including changing priorities and short turn-around times
  • Knowledge of military or governmental standardized document formats
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent detail-oriented, organizational, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
  • Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $51,600.00 to $105,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
