Clinical Utilization Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES: Utilizing evidenced based assessments, the Team Clinical Utilization Specialist will ensure youth and families receive the right services and supports, in the right amount, at the right time, and for the right duration in order to support safety, well-being and permanency goals. Using a resource referral process, the team will ensure timely service initiation, improved data collection and collaboration across service providers. The team will track youth and families served by service type, including, QRTP and PRTF admissions, and make requests for provider documents and reports for client record.

QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Bachelor's degree in Social Work or other Human Service-related field (Community Counseling, Human Development, Child and Family Development, Applied Family and Youth Studies, Public Health, Health Sciences, Trauma Studies, Sociology/Social Services, Substance Abuse/Addictions, Education/Early Childhood, or Psychology Criminal Justice, Human Services, Education, Counseling or Psychology) and at least two years of work experience in the child welfare arena. Preferred: Master's degree in Social Work or other Human Service-related field and at least two years' experience in the child welfare area. Case management experience preferred. Licensed by the Kansas BSRB. Must be at least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver's license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
