Description

Night shift position-Monday-Thursday-5:30PM-4:00AM Training may be on the day shift.

* Leads the day-to-day production functions including assigning work schedules, assigning tasks, monitoring quality, providing advanced troubleshooting on more complex issues, and ensures production schedules are followed. Responsible for the daily production output, quality and delivery.

* Manages fluctuating workloads of team members to ensure effective departmental operations. Alerts leadership of any significant coverage gaps.

* Trains team members and acts as a resource to team members by assisting with problem resolution and providing informal coaching.

* Provides input into team members' performance appraisals and alerts leadership of any performance problems. May provide input on hiring or other human resources functions.

* Prepares all direct materials via work orders and indirect material for production consumption.

* Proactively seeks process, cost and quality improvements. Monitors and checks products produced to ensure quality standards are met.

* Performs corrective action activities to control/prevent production issues such as scrap and defects and reports any issues to the supervisor. Responsible for the disposition of the lot/material and/or product affected by process defects. Ensures data has been collected and reported to the supervisor.

* Maintains high levels of safety and housekeeping standards.

* Performs day-to-day production activities on the floor which may include performing assembly and operating equipment.

* Tracking and collects process data to control and monitor key performance indicators, perform reporting and monitor compliance.

* Performs other duties as assigned.
