AWS Consultant

Cognizant is seeking a AWS Consultant / python / spark

We are seeking an experienced Architect with a focus on Manager - Projects within the Cards & Payments domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python Apache Spark AWS IAM SQL Amazon RDS Snowflake and Unix with 6 to 10 years of experience. This role is pivotal in driving our projects success by leveraging cutting-edge technologies to design and implement robust solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Lead the design and implementation of scalable high-performance solutions using Python and Apache Spark.

- Ensure secure and efficient data handling by managing AWS IAM roles and permissions.

- Design and optimize SQL and Snowflake schemas for performance and scalability.

- Oversee the integration of Amazon RDS and Unix systems into our project architecture.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues.

- Drive the adoption of best practices in code quality security and maintainability.

- Utilize AWS Cloud services effectively to enhance project outcomes.

- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate into our solutions.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

- Ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

- Contribute to the strategic planning of project objectives and timelines.

-Qualifications

- Must have extensive experience with Python Apache Spark AWS IAM SQL Amazon RDS Snowflake and Unix.

- Strong understanding of the Cards & Payments domain is required.

- Experience with TSQL Amazon S3 AWS DevOps tools AWS Glue Catalog AWS CloudWatch Amazon Aurora AWS Cloud Formation is highly desirable.

- Knowledge in Risk Management Data Modelling DB Performance Optimization and DB Administration will be advantageous.

- Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The annual salary for this position is between $130000 - $140000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
