The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a Rep - Inside Sales Account to join our Direct Sales Team. The representative will help drive the team to achieve territory growth targets, customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term customer goals in line with company business strategy.

This role will be full-time remote role that can be based in the state of: California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.

What we're looking for

  • Education: College Degree or equivalent experience is required

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year Sales experience is required

  • Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) experience required

  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • 1-3+ years Sales experience

    • Business to Business (B2B) Sales experience

    • C4C experience

How you will thrive and create an impact

As the Rep - Inside Sales Account, you will sell products and services to existing and potential customers remotely. Accountable for all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned $2.5 - $4M territory. Tasked with developing and managing a sales pipeline closing business over the phone. Develops and implements agreed upon Operating Plan which will meet both individual and business objectives including expanding customer sales in the assigned territory.

  • Manage a territory consisting of 250-400 customers within a specific Market Segment.

  • Drive market share gains and meet company expectations for growth by completing a large volume of outbound phone calls each day.

  • Communicate effectively and persuasively to a high volume of people throughout the workday over the phone.

  • Accountable to make 10+ proactive selling calls per day to new and existing customers.

  • Prospect and establish new customers by managing and developing a sales pipeline and delivering proposals to customers by illustrating VWR's value proposition.

  • Determine the requirements of existing and new customers and their expectations to provide customer-based solutions modeled on VWR Value proposition.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the prospect's challenges and asking probing questions that will build the case for VWR's products and services. Staying on the phone and setting up an appointment to talk in the future for a defined period.

  • Follow up with customers post sale to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Expand VWR's role with existing customers by developing retention strategies illustrating VWR's value proposition in conjunction with evolving customer requirements.

  • Sell consultatively, detailing products, determine customer needs and requirements, and make recommendations to both prospects and customers of the various solutions VWR can offer their business.

  • Work in conjunction with sales management team providing proposals and implementing sales strategies to achieve sales growth and quota attainment.

  • Manage and sell VWR's vast product portfolio using the VWR Advantage Strategy (VAS).

  • Represent VWR and present a professional image to customer and manufacturers to supply an outstanding image and impression of VWR.

  • Work directly with local manufacturer representatives to develop and continually improve product knowledge, arrive at most favored pricing, and improve profitability.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work independently and successfully manage time and territory

  • Ability to understand individual customer operations

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)

Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.

A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.

Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$58,000.00 - $97,000.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
