Business and Software Product Analyst-INTERN

Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and elicit requirements.
• Conduct thorough analysis of business processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Translate business requirements into clear and concise technical specifications for software development.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals.
• Create and maintain documentation such as user stories, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Assist in the development and execution of test plans to ensure quality assurance and user acceptance.
• Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations for optimizing business processes and driving decision-making.
• Participate in Agile or other project management methodologies to prioritize and manage workload effectively.

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree at the Junior / Senior level and working towards a degree in computer science or related field at an accredited college/university.
• Currently enrolled in a master's degree in computer science, or related field at an accredited college/university.
• 1 + year Experience in software product development.
• Experience with product evaluations and feature improvements.
• Experience in business analysis including development of project artifacts.
• Experience gathering project metrics and developing reporting dashboards
• Experience with MS-Office, SQL and SSO.
• Knowledge of web development best practices, including security and scalability.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and strategically.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables within specified timelines. Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.

• Experience with gathering and documenting requirements.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies.
• Determines relevancy of data and identifies alternative data sources as needed to ensure analytics requested by business stakeholders can be completed.
• Queries disparate data platforms such as SQL Server.
• Promotes and evangelizes a culture of excellence, data driven discussions, healthy skepticism, intellectual curiosity, knowledge sharing, and teamwork.
• Stays current with emerging trends in analytics, statistics, and machine learning and applies them to business challenges.
• Ability to work independently and in group settings.
