Job Description

We recently established the Finance Velocity Office, designed to accelerate our path to building a world-class finance function. This newly created function will shape our transformation strategy, improve our business operations and enhance the impact we make as a function. Why velocity? This newly dedicated team will help us drive global consistency and operate as one team to:

Build a foundation that supports the growth and complexity of our business and improves the day-to-day interactions of our Finance teams. Modernize our processes to enable better, faster decision making and drive more timely insights for our clients and business partners. Implement technology to evolve how we work together to achieve meaningful, sustainable change and enable our long-term growth agenda. Ensure a clear and measurable set of KPIs against our Finance OKRs and Scorecard to track, report and recognize key milestones and impact statements for our work product.

The Director Finance Transformation Communication, Process and Change coach will join the Finance Velocity office from the beginning to create the Communication Strategy and Change Management toolkit. They will leverage the change management SMEs and community of change champions across Regions and Functions and drive a programmatic series of communication and change programs. In addition, they will develop and deliver on the FVO Communications Strategy in close collaboration with Corporate Communications and all FVO leads.

This role reports to the VP, Global Finance Strategy and Transformation but will have frequent interaction with the SVP Finance Transformation Officer, the Chief Finance Officer and the Finance Leadership Team.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the design, development, delivery and management of communications about changes to tools and processes across the organization
  • Drive change management activities for all transformation related changes/impacts
  • Primary coordination point across FVO, corporate communications, Visa University/Training Team, and other teams as necessary
  • Manage effective communication channels to keep all stakeholders informed, raising risks or challenges as needed
  • Evaluate and ensure user readiness
  • Conduct impact analysis and change management assessment, including change readiness
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
  • Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics
  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance
  • Interface with key partners/stakeholders and serve as the primary point of contact for the workstream/project team
  • Integrate change management activities into project plans
  • Track and report issues and action items
  • Support creating materials for Transformation Leadership Team Meetings
  • Work with virtual teams located in different time zones and with differing cultures
  • Be an agent for change

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

* 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

* 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD

* 12+ years professional experience with a Bachelor's degree, MBA and/or project, change management, Lean, Six-Sigma certification a plus

* Expertise in program / project management with financial and budget management experience in a transformation environment, experience in HR transformation preferred

* Strong leadership and direct management of project / program managers, experience with coaching for success

* Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles

* Entrepreneurial and flexible, strategic thinker who can balance strategy with detailed execution

* Expert in the use of program and business management tools

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex information into a compelling narrative, and in a variety of formats (ex. presentations, talking points, executive summaries, etc.)

* Strong attention to detail

* Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills in a global, matrixed environment with cross-functional teams

* Self-starter, results oriented individual with the ability to roll up their sleeves and handle numerous projects concurrently

* Ability to anticipate issues before they arise and work to proactively support resolution

* Proven track record of driving results, even when faced with ambiguous circumstances

* Exceptional personal accountability and the highest of ethical standards

* A very good sense of humor

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 147,400 to 237,550 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
