Job Summary
Very Impressive Tiger ( VIT) program recognizes students with outstanding academic achievements and expose them to Auburn's programs and student life. These are both in-state and out-of-state students with ACT scoring of 33-36 on file.

Position provides the student with an educational experience in which they apply specific learning such as functional knowledge, skills, and abilities, gained from their overall educational program, whereby: 60% of the student's duties and responsibilities are directly related to the program of study, and 25% of the student's duties and responsibilities are administrative/clerical in nature, i.e. event setup and takedown, filing, copying.
Essential Functions
Duties consist of scheduling & hosting VIT prospective students and families to Auburn University campus. Position will develop personalized itineraries. This position interacts with faculty, staff, students and parents. This position will also assist with special projects related to the VIT program and recruitment events and additional assignments as needed.

This position will apply functional knowledge, skills, and abilities from the educational program that are related to counseling practice and career development. The benefits added to the student's educational experience will be enhancing the ability to apply the theory and practice of counseling communication, practices, and working with individuals so that they can be resilient, adapt, and adjust to professional and personal environments.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Admitted to a graduate degree-seeking or certificate program at Auburn University.
  • Registered for at least one course (anything carrying an Auburn University course number) during each academic term of the assistantship.
  • Class schedules would need to be stacked MWF OR TTH to work this program. Student must be able to work full days to host VIT on campus.
