Summary of Position
Under broad supervision, this position performs highly responsible work coordinating functions of the Registrar's Office related to Communications. Considerable independent judgement is exercised applying and adapting programmatic, departmental guidelines, policies, and procedures, and applying thorough knowledge of the operations and policies of the department and University. Works directly with supervisor, administrative support units, academic departments, deans' offices, faculty, and staff to support, train and troubleshoot related issues. Ensure compliance with related university policies and procedures. This position requires administrative, organizational, communications, public relations, and excellent technology skills. Flexibility and the ability to assess priorities and manage a wide variety of activities in a time-sensitive environment is crucial. Applicants should be confident, comfortable, and experienced in creating and publicly presenting content that is written clearly, effectively, and accurately in small and large groups with a variety of stakeholders.

Duty/Responsibility
Communications:

  • Assist with processes related to production of the academic catalog, course scheduling, continuous improvement, and communication planning.
  • Develop and produce professional, cohesive print and digital materials including handbooks, technical resources, and communications for faculty/staff/students.
  • Interpret and transform concepts and ideas from colleagues into descriptive visual materials in varying formats for distribution.
  • Research, write, edit and/or proofread materials for communications, resources and publications.
  • Assist in creation and prepare documents, presentations, reports, correspondence, curriculum, and promotional related materials as assigned.
  • Assist in comprehensive office communications strategy analysis to ensure effective dissemination of information and updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with university style and branding guidelines.
  • Assist in developing content and maintaining office website.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.



Duty/Responsibility
Training & Support:

  • Support end users in Registrar's Office software systems, and compliance with related policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate and train end users in groups or individual sessions virtually or in person.
  • Communicate, interpret, and clarify Registrar's Office related matters and specify policy information; recommend updating and/or developing related policies and procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Develop training resources in digital and print formats including technical and user guides, procedural instructions, FAQs, video tutorials, etc.



Duty/Responsibility
Documentation:

  • Organize and maintain information, files, and procedural office documentation.
  • Develop and maintain user guides and technical documentation to assure that accurate up to date information is readily available to end users.
  • Write, and/or edit knowledge base articles for end users.
