Overview

Supervise warehouse and road feeder vendors to maintain service levels for the Polar cargo network. Supervise the remote handling facility to accept cargo, build cargo according to capacity management instructions, send cargo to the ramp operation according to priority, maintain all information in CargoSpot, transmit reporting on cargo status, and interact with customers as required. Handle all FAA, TSA, US Customs, and other regulations associated with cargo buildup, chain of custody, cargo inspections, manifesting, and in-bond processing. Support the flight operation at CVG and assist by representing flights airside.



Responsibilities

    Identifies and rectifies immediate problems.
  • Responsible for maintaining, supporting and improving the overall station operation to support all business units of the company.
  • Responsible for station compliance of all safety regulations and requirements pertaining to the station, Warehouse, aircraft, facilities, equipment and personnel.
  • Responsible for achieving all ground operations and corporate goals as related to performance, safety, service, and regulatory compliance. Ensures all employees and vendors are aware of station and corporate goals and expectations
  • Monitors weight billed to actual weight, completes CCA's and notifies appropriate company contracts.
  • Identifies loss of pallet/nets/straps, researches reasons and notifies management and/or corporate of losses and/or reasons.
  • Monitors accuracy and completeness of pallets/nets/straps control of information and ensures inaccurate information is updated and any underlying issues are resolved.
  • Monitors data entry accuracy and completeness, corrects inaccurate information and ensures any underlying issues are resolved.
  • Ensures the safety of aircraft and crews by preventing aircrafts damage;
    • Ensuring proper loading and weight and balance preparation, including nets and locks.
    • Ensuring HAZMAT is handled correctly, including re-loading and paperwork.
  • Ensures that employees and/contractors adhere to company and governmental safety regulations and procedures.
  • Monitors employees and/or contractors compliance with regulations and procedures pertaining to vehicle safety.
  • Ensures that terminal services perform tasks for aircraft to arrive and depart as scheduled.
  • Ensures company customers receive correct freight at appropriate locations within necessary time frames by making certain that freight and paperwork are handled correctly, including freight check-in and paper.
  • Monitors and evaluates work performance of all company employees assigned to the station.
  • Interfaces with local airport authorities to ensure company compliance with all local policies. Ensures monthly reports are submitted to local airport authorities as required
  • Creates and environment that encourages teamwork by:
    • Establishing and maintain working relationships with handlers, terminal maintenance staff and/or contract personnel
    • Informing management of unique or difficult situations.
  • Completes and/or maintains reports, messages, files logs and forms.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High School diploma.
  • Six years aviation experience including:
    • Ops Agent experience
    • Weight and Balance experience and ability to become current on PO/5Y system.
    • Dangerous Goods experience and ability to become current on PO/5Y system.
    • Prior experience with a scheduled service operation.
  • Understanding of PAX/Cargo Operations and Airfreight business
  • Ability and flexibility to occasionally travel domestically and internationally.
  • Must be able to obtain a Security Identification Display areas (SIDA) badge.

Salary Range: $59,000-$79,500

Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset.
