As an Experience Designer at Capital Group, you'll be designing for digital experiences that empower investment professionals and their investors. As part of a cross-functional organization of product managers and engineers, you'll use ingenuity and empathy to solve complex and nuanced problems. You'll use evidence-based design processes to understand customers and create experiences that delight them, address their needs, and give them new capabilities.

You will be responsible for:
  • Designing user experiences, interfaces, and information architecture for specific features, as well as conducting design research and synthesizing results
  • Collaborating with designers to continually evolve our design systems and improve the consistency of our users' experiences
  • Collaborating with Product Mangers to define the strategy and scope of your product
  • Working with Engineering to define functional and design specifications
  • Assisting the Sr Experience Designers in executing high impact projects

  • You have a portfolio of case studies demonstrating 3-5 years of designing for complex digital products.
  • You have a robust knowledge of current best practices in design research, design systems and UI design.
  • You demonstrate a customer-focused, evidence-based design process, and have experience with original research such as contextual interviews, usability testing, card sorts, heuristic analyses, and personas.
  • You have fluency in defining experiences using a variety of deliverables, such as storyboards, user flows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Strong proficiency in Figma preferred (or ability to quickly pivot from Sketch/XD)
  • You have experience working with teams using Agile methodologies, practices, and cadences; you are extremely collaborative and enjoy working with cross-functional teams.
  • You can effectively communicate and present designs and strategies that incorporates the customer, business, and technology opportunities.
  • You are a systems thinker, habitually considering the impacts of your immediate design choices on the larger technology ecosystem in which your users live; you are passionate about accessibility and usability for your end users.


Los Angeles Base Salary Range: $102,722-$164,355

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
