The Tool Design Department is responsible for designing production tooling including stamping and forming dies, fixtures, gages, assembly tooling, and product test equipment or to make improvements to existing tooling. In this position you will be given assignments requiring the use of a 3D Cad with solid edge software to design new or redesign tools and help troubleshoot or problem solve various types of tooling. You will be working from various types of drawings and blueprints ranging from simple hand drawn documents or detail drawings to complicated CAD generated assemblies. You will be required to maintain high quality and productivity standards and adhere to all applicable safety practices and procedures. This position requires good verbal communication skills and the ability to work closely with other Tool Designers and Tool Makers, machinists, engineers, designers, and production personnel in a team environment. Relevant Work Experience: Be able to read and create drawings using a CAD station. Good math skills. Basic understanding of metal cutting machines and processes would be a plus. MAJOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS
