Responsibilities
Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center provides quality mental health care and education services for adolescents, ages 11-17 who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, educational, family and social challenges. The dedicated professionals at Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center provide quality mental health treatment for children. The program establishes healthy behaviors and prepares children to transition back home. The Mental Health Technician (MHT) performs direct patient care duties in a residential behavioral health setting. The Mental Health Technician is responsible for supervising the patient in treatment, recreation, educational settings, and other activities of daily living to assess changes in their social behaviors and clinical status. MHT's have the primary responsibility for ensuring the patient's safety in the facility. MHT's are responsible for understanding and using the least restrictive interventions per facility policy and successfully avoid seclusion and restraint whenever possible. BENEFITS
Qualifications Education Requirements: Required:High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in human services, psychology, social work or related field Experience: Preferred one year experience in residential psychiatry or other childcare facility/agency experience in comparable position Background: Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Screening to work in Healthcare and Pre-employment Drug Test.
