POSITION SUMMARY The Assembler 2 position performs disassembly, assembly, re-work, and minimum testing of various electrical/electronic equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS Education: Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience Experience: Minimum of 2 years prior work experience in an electronics/manufacturing environment or completed OJT training for at least 5 products Skills: * Able to read and comprehend regulations and instructions in English * Effective oral and written communication * Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed * Proficient in using the tools, equipment, and inspection aids applicable to the scope of work assigned * Use hand tools, power tools and electric soldering gun * Lift and Carry up to 30lbs * Able and willing to comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies and pass all related drug/alcohol screenings * Able to perform complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operation * Capable of solving problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures * Skilled at simple welding tasks and/or brazing, or soldering * Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures * Experience with MS Office Suite * Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts Physical Requirements * Approximately 90% sitting and 10% standing/walking about in-door Company facilities * Use head and neck in static position, looking up/down and side-to-side * Perform major hand grasping and fine finger manipulations using both hands * Perform light lifting from floor, table and shelf * Push and pull carts or mobile tables, loaded and unloaded * Minimal: heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling, exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, uneven walking surfaces Parker is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
