The Ultra Sales & Marketing function is responsible for growth of both the business development opportunity pipeline and the closure of sales by negotiating the terms and conditions in contracts. Through good business development practices and strong, senior-level customer interaction this function will deliver the defined business opportunities and develop a marketing strategy that demonstrates achievable levels of profitable growth in line with the overall business plan. This function is instrumental in setting the strategy for the business for all aspects of marketing and sales.

Nationality Requirements

Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.

Job Description

The Ultra Commercial function is responsible for negotiating the terms and conditions in contracts and ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions and agreeing on any changes or amendments that may arise in the management of contracts made with customers, vendors, partners or employees.

This role performs an important oversight function to ensure adherence with internal procedures on bid management and approval, and acts as the conduit between the SBU sales and technical teams and other Group functions including Finance and Legal.

The ideal candidate will have the technical / professional knowledge to make independent judgements, based on practice and significant previous experience to support decision making. Often seen as a referral point or more senior team member to escalate more complex problems. Roles will act independently with minimal guidance and may act as project managers/formal mentors for junior staff.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in government contracting, in a DOD environment

  • Experience managing full scope of contract support, including kick-off meetings to close out activities

  • In depth familiarity with FAR and DFARS

  • Ability to obtain US Security Clearance

Desired Experience:

  • CFCM, CPCM or IACCM certifications preferred
