The Inside Solution Architect-Configuration Services focuses on supporting Account Managers by assisting them with the sale of services related to Configuration Center solutions. The Inside Solution Architect-Configuration Services builds relationships and educates Account Managers on the technologies, resources, and pricing programs available to them. The Inside Solution Architect-Configuration Services develops and maintains strategic relationships with Sales Management of the teams they support and seen as a trusted advisor to grow business. Key Areas of Responsibility
- Technology Leadership: Designs Configuration Center solutions for primary technology products and services.
- Educates Account Managers by conducting short training classes on Configuration Services.
- Explains features, benefits, and technical specifications of Configuration Services products and solutions.
- Explains conceptually how Configuration Services are configured and implemented for customers.
- Research new technologies, including hardware and software capabilities, create process documents, maintain web forms & documentation and develop streamlined process improvements.
- Contributes to the team's knowledge base and readily shares knowledge with other Inside Solution Architects and Account Managers regarding Configuration Services.
- Sales Support: Communicate directly with CDW sales and train Account Managers on Configuration Services.
- Manage Configuration Services' customer-facing documentation and activities.
- Assist with development and maintenance of Configuration Services marketing material.
- Follows up and responds to questions regarding registrations and closed deals, and escalation needs.
- Provide exceptional sales support for customer projects, troubleshoot network software and hardware issues, update image servers and document issues & resolutions.
- Tracks sales leads, manages sales pipeline from lead to closure for sales over segment threshold.
- Produces quotes and BOMs.
- Creates quotes for high priority RFPs and/or assists with RFP content.
- Produces sales forecast reports.
- Reviews quotes and orders for accuracy.
- Sales: Act as a consulting resource for CDW sales, customers and the CDW technical staff regarding Configuration Service solutions.
- Discusses solutions at a conceptual level with customers and potential customers.
- Explains the solutions features and benefits.
- Explores additional sales opportunities through new service maintenance contracts and renewals.
- Advises Account Managers on service pricing.
- Coordinates and collaborates with Partners and Account Managers to map accounts to opportunities and achieve sales goals.
Education and/or Experience Qualifications
- Associates' Degree or equivalent work experience
- 2 years of pre-sales experience

- Knowledge and proven success of engaging and working with sales teams

- Ability to formulate complex and comprehensive materials such as legal documents, authoritative reports, official publications of major scope and impact, etc., and/or to make formal presentations both inside and outside of the immediate work area

- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% or as needed to other CDW locations, meetings and client sites
