Leidos is seeking highly qualified Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) Information Technology Services (CITS) contract. You will be part of a team that provides an innovative, modernized, IT life-cycle management system to USCENTCOM, including next-generation IT infrastructure cloud services and end-to-end automation. The CITS program provides USCENTCOM with the capability to maintain high readiness rates for an innovative enterprise IT infrastructure on a global scale.

This position is for a Systems Engineer that supports the Test, Analysis, and Integration Services PWS task area for the J66-SL Lab customer set performing Systems Engineering and Architecture functions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, interface definitions, integration, and system testing functions.
  • Provide System Engineering subject matter expertise to the government for the design/acquisition and installation of test lab equipment in a networked lab equipment to support on-premise server and off-premise cloud environment objectives.
  • Make design and architecture recommendations for IT equipment/system components, and manage the receipt, installation, configuration, and testing of new equipment/system solutions.
  • Engineer, deploy, and maintain new capabilities in the lab environment to include ensuring system tokens and certificates are kept current.
  • Support government customers to meet system engineering requirements that address CENTCOM operational mission needs.
  • Develop test scenarios and perform integration testing of CENTCOM applications is preparation for release to user community.
  • Facilitate application acceptance testing events to ensure application capabilities satisfy stakeholder requirements.
  • Access Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) or equivalents and perform system security scans of equipment and software suites in accordance with the System Security Plans, DoD, and CENTCOM requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must possess an active Top Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • 10+ years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years' experience with a Master's degree, or 12 years' experience with an Associates' degree, or 15 years' experience with a High School/General Education Development diploma.
  • One or more of the following active certifications: SRA+, or CND, or Network+, or Security+
  • Experience with Network Security Technologies including PKI, Vulnerability Assessments, Multiple Domains, and/or System Security Plans.
  • Ability to quickly and dynamically change systems/network configurations to accommodate customer development/testing schedules.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with the USCENTCOM customer performing enterprise IT services.
  • Experience with design, architecture, and estimating of future modernized cloud systems using AWS or Azure Cloud environments.
  • Ability to support integration and test of cloud applications within USCENTCOM cloud environments.
  • Familiar with hybrid-cloud enterprises, for both classified and unclassified on-premises data centers and tactical edge cloud computing equipment.
  • Understanding of cloud service strategies to transform business solutions using private and public cloud services.
  • Possesses ITIL 4 Training, AWS Certification, or MS Azure Certification.
