Under supervision, the position performs professional accounting and financial duties for UC Davis Health and supporting the general accounting for the Shared Services Center. Under direction, plan, develop and coordinate professional financial analysis and have broad knowledge of general ledger and budgetary systems, accounting, and healthcare financial practices. Process transactions and provides analyses as part of the centralized shared services support to operational units. Prepare financial analyses and reports including, but not limited to variance analysis reports, financial statements, and other ad-hoc financial reports for presenting to various levels of personnel, from departmental staff to senior management. Provides support to improve finance processes. Acts as a general accounting liason to various departments on an assortment of multifaceted projects, including system implementations, process designs and redesigns, and financial system training.
