We are searching for a Electrician-Fire Alarm Technician to perform diversified duties pertaining to the installation, troubleshooting and repair of fire alarms, nurse call and security systems through assigned Southcoast Health System facilities. Maintain all appropriate related logs and records and assure compliance with all Federal, State, Local and other regulatory agencies within scope of own position responsibilities. Duties require work on all shifts, weekends and holidays as operationally necessary.




  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Shift: Day shift with call, weekend and holiday rotation; 7:00am - 3:30pm
  • Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA
  • Travel: This position requires travel between systems sites


Education and/or Experience Requirements:



  • Equal to completion of 4 years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training is required
  • A Licensed Electrician B or MA D Fire Alarm License are required; NICET level 3 certification is preferred Manufacturers training in Fire Alarm, Nurse Call and Security Systems and experience in performing and documenting a preventive maintenance program is preferred
  • Three (3) years of related work experience is required
