About the role

Job Overview

Under general maintenance supervision, the Maintenance Mechanic performs skilled mechanical work in support of the overall facility operation and in maintaining operation of the process plant and power generation plant in compliance with established production schedules and plant output requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attends and participates in scheduled training and safety programs. Knows, understands and complies with all company safety regulations and procedures.
  • Performs a wide variety of mechanical, welding, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs, PM's and fabrication, including pipefitting, rigging, assembly and disassembly of all types of plant operation equipment, conveyors, piping structural reinforced plastic, and sheet metal systems.
  • Consults with operations and works cooperatively with facility operators, ensuring that facility machinery is being repaired as requested.
  • Completes work order corrective actions and log books.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Maintenance Leadership Team.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • A minimum of 2-4 years' experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
  • Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
  • Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
  • Consistently work in various weather conditions

Shift Work:

This position works on a rotating 8-hour shift and has on call duties that include nights, weekends and some holidays. Overtime will be required.
