Leidos is seekinga Project Execution Scientist to join our teamin Pittsburgh, PA or Albany, OR, supporting the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). NETL is a multi-disciplinary, scientific, and technical-oriented national laboratory and the U.S. Department of Energy's primary lab supporting fossil fuel-based energy research. This work will involve a multi-disciplinary, scientific, and technically-oriented national laboratory team, participation alongside other data scientists, engineers, geologists, and computer scientists that produces technological solutions for America's energy challenges. From developing creative innovations and efficient energy systems, to advancing technologies that produce, transport, and utilize hydrogen and other fuels, NETL research is providing breakthroughs and discoveries that support home-grown energy initiatives, stimulate a growing economy, and improve the health, safety, and security of all Americans. Highly skilled professionals at NETL's three research sites - , Oregon; , West Virginia, and , Pennsylvania - conduct a broad range of research activities that support DOE's mission to advance the national, economic, and energy security of the United States. The objective of the Project Execution Scientist is to provide technical management support to assist NETL Subject Matter Experts in their execution of duties associated with Integrated Project Teams (IPT) pursuing execution of research conducted in support of multiple Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) projects. The Project Execution Scientist will need to understand the research being conducted in the various laboratories, procedures to be utilized in the laboratories, and research equipment needs necessary for the conducting of research functions.The Project Execution Scientist providing this support will also have the project management skills necessary for the administrative and technical functions listed below.
