Field Service Engineer

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Knowledge of HF, VHF and UHF Radio Frequency spectrum to include working with calibration, testing equipment, and antenna
  • Minimum of three+ (3+) years of Linux/Unix system administration

    • CentOS 6/7
    • Red Hat Enterprise Release 6/7/8


  • Experience with virtualization technologies, VMware vSphere or Red Hat Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM).
  • Must currently hold a DoD 8570-compliant IAT II certification (SSCP or Security+ CE with appropriate CE/OS certificate) or be able to obtain within six months
  • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI
  • Travel may be required (10%)


DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • General working knowledge in reference to the hardware installation, system configuration, system administration and maintenance of Cryptologic Carry-On Program (CCOP) systems to include CORSAIR, DRT, GALE, HITS, OFM, REDFALCON and
  • Fleet Electronic Support (FES) experience


SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL with CI POLY ELIGIBILITY

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Provides waterfront support to afloat cryptologic maintainers
  • Performs system level software testing to accurately validate operational readiness
  • Performs in depth system troubleshooting, software configuration support and recommend resolution on SSEE
  • Performs installation and verification tests on system upgrades and Equipment Changes(EC)
  • Provides On Board Technical Assistance(OBTA) underway in various AORs
  • Performs inspection and testing of installed antennas and antenna lines
