Role Summary:

The Region Advisor role is responsible for assuring safe, reliable and environmentally conscious operations that are in compliance with the Company's mission, policies, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:



  • Owner of the Region's M&QC , DOT Compliance, Terminal Operations, Training, and Right of Way programs that are developed by Corporate


  • Managing the Field Region, M&QC, Terminal Specialists, Compliance Specialist and Right of Way Specialists.
  • Operations Relief. Supporting and providing relief for Operations Managers and the Region Director in managing the operations and maintenance of pipeline and terminal assets within the Region.
  • Work closely with Regional and Corporate Programs for the continued integration and execution of all relevant SOMS Standards pertaining to the safe and efficient operations of the company. In addition, this position will also work closely with our Corporate Operations Excellence Team to support the proper implementation of OE Programs and continuous improvement initiatives being developed across our operational regions.


  • Liaison with Corporate Program Owners to ensure full and effective implementation of Corporate Programs


  • Budget Management. Assuring efficient operations and cost control by developing and managing the budgeting process for the Region.
  • Personnel Training. Assessing, training and developing Asset Teams to achieve high performance certification.
  • Emergency Response. Responding to incidents and emergencies to provide leadership assistance to the Operations Managers, Director of Operations and the Region Leader.


  • Process Engineering support (BTP specific)
  • Manage the Planning/Scheduling for the Corpus Christi facilities and the Marrero facility (BTP specific)


  • And other duties as assigned.



Position Requirements:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years experience in field operations and/or engineering required.
  • 5+ years' experience in managing operations required.
  • Significant technical troubleshooting experience required.
  • Up to 40% travel
  • This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.
  • This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.



Certificates & Licenses:



  • Valid driver's license in the state of employment



Other Skills, Attributes and Abilities:



  • Individuals must have the knowledge and ability to analyze and solve personnel, team and pipeline operations and maintenance problems to be successful in this position.
  • The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. There is a significant amount of interpersonal activity and diplomatic skills are a necessity.
  • The individual must possess leadership abilities and promote a team environment.
