TikTok Intern

The Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) is seeking a creative and energetic TikTok Intern for the summer of 2024. In this role, you will collaborate with the museum's marketing team to develop and produce TikTok videos that heighten engagement and increase awareness of the museum, its programs, exhibitions and people.

Responsibilities will include:

-Develop, produce, and edit TikTok videos that explore the museum's art and collections, events, and stories

-Identify and engage key social media influencers for takeovers, special features, and other collaborations

-Collaborate with multiple teams, including education, marketing, curatorial and visitor engagement, to brainstorm, plan and implement TikTok videos that align with the museum's mission and strategic goals

-Research and stay up-to-date with TikTok trends and best practices to create impactful and engaging content

-Attend museum events and programs to capture behind-the-scenes moments and artist interviews

Requirements:

-Preference is given to applicants who are currently enrolled in or recent graduates of a New England-based art school

-A portfolio of TikTok videos showcasing creativity, storytelling, and production skills

-A passion for art and culture, and a desire to share it with a broad audience on social media

-Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with museum staff and visitors

-Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently as well
