Mold Maintenance

JOB DESCRIPTION - DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLILITES:

* Work with the Manufacturing / Engineering Manager in maintaining appropriate spare parts for molds/knockouts.

* Conduct D.O.E. on new or revised molds and /or processes.

* Assist Preventive Maintenance Technician through evaluation of downtime reasons.

* Assist Manufacturing / Engineering Manager with resolution of daily production issues and scrap reduction.

* Assist engineering department with specific projects as assigned.

* Repair and clean all molds as needed.

* Train production personnel on new mold operation.

* Assist Production Team Leader with set-ups.

* Assist Production Team Leader with minor press and knock out repair.

* Manage external mold repair activities including timely shipment and receipt of molds or spare parts, providing required documentation to supplier and verification of repair.

* Must be a self-starter and have good time management skills

* All other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

* The person in this position usually spends about 80% of their time standing and approximately 20% of their time walking.

* This person must be able to lift 50 lbs. several times per day to facilitate mold repair and mold maintenance.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* Minimum 2 years' experience in rubber molding and/or processing.

* Strong Mechanical Aptitude.

* High School Diploma or equivalent.
