POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will support all functions within Operational Accounting. This includes actualization, billing, accounts payable, and master data management. This role will primarily be focused on analyzing data from the ETRM and accounting systems (RightAngle, TMW, Great Plains). Other responsibilities will include processing daily transactions and testing new automated solutions related to the accounting systems. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated history of analyzing a high volume of data in a timely manner. This position is an exempt position and reports to the Director of Operational Accounting. The analyst position is located at the corporate headquarters in Belle Vernon, PA and will be required work on-site at least three times per week.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Assist with daily billing processes in RightAngle, Great Plains, and TMW
  • Support the Master Data function by setting up new customer accounts
  • Process accounts payable invoices in the ETRM system
  • Research daily exceptions and collaborate with owners across the organization to resolve issues
  • Identify process improvements across multiple functions, both inside and outside the Operational Accounting team
  • Perform reconciliations to ensure all accounting systems are in balance
  • Assist with month-end close
  • Complete monthly analysis and provide KPI's to management
  • Participate in testing of new automated solutions
  • Perform other duties and ad hoc analysis as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university, or comparable work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing high volumes of data in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency in Excel is essential. Must know how to use Vlookups and Pivot Tables.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with fellow owners across the organization.
  • Desire to participate in the company's ESOP committees and proactively support the needs of fellow owners.
  • Proven experience in prioritizing tasks



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • 2 years of experience working with an ERP or trading software strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Mathematics preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing and leading professional presentations.
  • Experience working with RightAngle or similar ETRM system preferred.
  • Experience in oil & gas industry or related commodity fields preferred.
