A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

  • Prepare GAAP consolidated financial statements by analyzing information from the general ledger system and departments.
  • Complete monthly close process which includes recording journal entries, account analysis, and financial statement preparation including cash flow statement.
  • Work closely with controller to review Sales & Use tax requirements by state.
  • Work closely with both US & foreign tax teams to provide information needed to prepare returns and make timely payments.
  • Review and reconcile capital leases.
  • Assist in providing follow-up and documentation of significant variances.
  • Prepare and post allocation entries.
  • Prepare weekly cash forecast.
  • Review all inter-company transactions and generate entries as necessary.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Fixed asset processing and reporting.
  • Analyze current procedures and recommend changes to develop and implement best practice accounting procedures.
  • Liaise with our Accounting Manager to improve and document financial procedures.
  • Review and update system for foreign currency rates
  • Assist with annual external audit by analyzing and preparing assigned schedules.
  • Special projects, ad hoc reporting as needed.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

What You'll Need for Success:

You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 7 years of recent accounting experience
  • CPA a plus
  • Operational experience to support project accounting responsibilities.
  • MS Dynamics & NetSuite experience a plus
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP's and pivot tables.
  • Consolidation experience a plus
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Team Player
  • Results oriented.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
