High School Transition Coach

Strengthen the success of underserved and low income students by creating and delivering outreach opportunities to the local high schools to encourage underserved and low income student populations to pursue a college degree, including support and coaching on key due dates, development of a college bound identity, exploration of career paths, and completion of milestones to enrollment.

Develop and implement TCC outreach opportunities for prospective underserved and low-income students and families.

Develop and maintain contacts within high school principals, counselors and other stakeholders within the high schools who work with underserved students.

Counsel and support underserved and low-income prospective students and families regarding the admission and enrollment process and procedures.

Counsel and support underserved and low-income students to ensure successful transition from high school to college, including coordinating with NSU on summer bridge programming.

Coordinate with TCC stakeholders such as Academic Advising, New Student Orientation and other Admission staff to ensure collaborative programming, outreach and communication to prospective students and families.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Education, Business or related area.

One year of related work experience.

Ability to lift minimum of 20 pounds.

Experience working in higher education or working with high school students.

Experience working with underserved students.
