Accounts Payable Analyst- Utilities

SRS Distribution Inc is hiring a Accounts Payable Analyst - Utilities who will be responsible for the maintenance of utility records within our database and Third-party companies. The Specialist will focus on working with Branch Managers and IT Team to maintain information on all utilities to ensure they are set up with our third-party providers. The Specialist will review and audit requests for online logins and resolve any issues. The Specialist should be comfortable communicating to various stakeholders, including end users, procurement, audit, and management to ensure items are actioned properly and timely. Duties may also include a review of the acquisition process, adhering to policies and provide feedback as necessary, project management, as well as other Accounts Payable tasks assigned.

Essential Job Functions

• Work with internal and external business partners to monitor utilities and ensure vendor agreements terms are adhered to, which includes review of utility accounts.
• Improve, execute, and effectively communicate analyses that identify meaningful trends regarding utility services and impact to services
• Ensure all utilities are set up through the proper channels to be paid timely
• Provide weekly updates on all utility processes and accounts
• Obtain and monitor all online access to ensure our third-party providers are granted access with proper GL coding
• Strong problem solving, documentation, research and resolution, data analysis, and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timelines
• Invoice verification, process, status, and upload
• Vendor payment term rationalization for Mergers and Acquisition through comparisons and communication of discrepancies to internal purchasing partners for resolution
• Responsible for day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable, and various other transactional issues
• Develop and implement data analyses, leverage data collection systems and other strategies that optimize cash flow efficiency
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Account Maintenance, and/or Accounts Payable.
• Bachelor's Degree, focus on accounting or finance preferred but not required
• Experience working with large data sets and Project Management
• High capacity for strategic thought and ability to execute on initiatives
• Excellent written and oral communication and research skills
• High attention to detail and can work in a fast-paced, high-transactional volume environment
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office products, especially Excel
• Personable, Organized, Team Player & Attention to Detail are all must have traits
• Must be a self-starter
