Tufts University: School of Arts & Sciences: Physics & Astronomy Description The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Tufts University, Medford, MA, invites qualified candidates to apply for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in cosmology starting September 1, 2024. The Department includes seventeen tenured or tenure-track faculty and has strong research programs in high energy physics, condensed matter, cosmology, and astrophysics (). The Institute of Cosmology currently consists of four faculty who investigate a wide range of topics in theoretical cosmology, including general relativity, the early universe, dark matter, topological defects, and quantum gravitational effects. Connections to particle physics and astronomy are of special interest.
