Derivatives Analyst, Portfolio Management

The Derivatives Analyst supports the Portfolio Management team in portfolio management and trading activities across the commodity, credit, currency, equity and interest-rate derivative markets. Additionally, the Analyst gains knowledge and experience through formal and informal training including working with senior members of the Portfolio Management team on projects and daily responsibilities. An Analyst will focus on the development of knowledge, skills and abilities in the following areas: financial markets and asset classes, the structure and management of client portfolios, trade execution and allocation, and risk management and performance attribution. Over time, Analysts acquire increased formal day-to-day responsibility, including trading authority.

Bachelor's degree required
• Strong academic and/or professional history
• A minimum of two years of experience with financial derivatives preferred
• Trading experience is preferred
• Experience working with and analyzing financial data from a variety of data sources such as Bloomberg is preferred
• Proficient in Excel
• Working knowledge of financial markets (particularly fixed income and derivatives) and industry conventions is preferred
• High degree of aptitude in quantitative and analytical thinking
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work successfully in a team environment
• Driven to perform at a high level under pressure and time constraints
