The Opportunity

The Lead, Commercial Analytics is responsible for designing, building, and managing multiple business-critical capabilities for Amylyx. This includes collaborating with IT to develop an enterprise strategy for Business Intelligence, build KPI dashboards to provide up-to-date insights to all levels of the commercial organization and executive leadership, and providing an on-going insightful narrative on drivers and barriers of brand performance.Partnering with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Field Analytics and other functions, this is a critical role to enable Amylyx to measure its commercialization efforts and to identify opportunities to better drive adoption and optimize the success of the company's commercial products through the generation of deep insights.

This role will need to work effectively across key functions within Commercial (Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Operations etc.) as well as other key corporate functions that include but are not limited to:IT, Compliance, and HR.This person will also act as a strategic partner to non-commercial functions to other parts of the organization, including Patient Services, to help establish BI capabilities and drive organizational insights.

The Role



  • Builds the commercial insights and analytics capabilities including infrastructure and processes to support the launch of AMX0035
  • Provide Quarterly Business Review framework to assimilate and evaluate brand performance across the commercial organization
  • Partner withSales, Marketing, Market Access, Field Operations, Patient Services and other functions to identify, recommend, develop and implement strategies, plans and tactics that optimize the success of the company's commercial products
  • Partners with stakeholders to define critical business questions and defines insights and analytics approach to investigate and provide answers/guidance to support decision making.
  • Builds and maintains dynamic KPI dashboards to address executional, operational, and performance related questions
  • Collaborates across Commercial functions to develop high quality effective analytic support and insightful KPI delivery.
  • Delivers and leads regular performance insights report to senior leadership.
  • Collaborates with the IT team, providing requirements to create the data infrastructure necessary to implement the commercial data strategy and to generate actionable insights and build data models supporting commercial activities.
  • Defines how the business can create additional value through the algorithms and utilization of data assets and analytics.
  • Manages multiple partners to produce deliverables on strategy within timelines and budget
  • Oversee management of key external vendor relationships


The Requirements



  • Requires a BA or BS with 8+ years of relevant sales effectiveness, business intelligence, forecasting, or insights & analytics experience or Masters with 6+ years
  • Pharmaceutical/biotech product launch experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with IT on development of reporting layer within a data warehouse.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing complex dashboards in business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense)
  • SQL experience a plus
  • Experience analyzing and visualizing data from a broad range of commercial data sources (specialty pharmacy dispense/status data, specialty distributor data, patient services data, payer claims/formulary status data, CRM data, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge & application of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills--able to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences
  • Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, good conflict management and negotiation skills
  • Global experience a plus
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%
