Education Lead

The Education Lead is responsible for the oversight and execution of student learning and all curricula components. The Education Lead works with Co-Leads to respond to any escalated situations. Their responsibilities include: overseeing all aspects of curriculum delivery, addressing any classroom problems or disruptions, documenting all customer interaction, providing coaching to the education staff, and ensuring curriculum delivery expectations are being met. The Education Lead manages the education staff, including Advisors as well as Education Support and Program Supports, if applicable. The Education Lead collaborates with the leadership team to ensure the success of the program and thattheEnvisionby WorldStrides values of BeRespectful, Be Responsible, Be Engaged and Be Safe aremodeled and followed throughout the total program experience. The Education Lead reports to the Program Manager.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Scholar Experience & Curriculum Oversight



  • Oversee all aspects of curriculum delivery including advisor feedback and curriculum training
  • Create a safe and engaging learning environment for all scholars
  • Serve as a positive leader, mentor and role model for all program participants
  • Be knowledgeable of all policies and procedures and ensure proper enforcement
  • Assist in the management of the safe transportation of scholars on-site and off-site
  • Manage paperwork submissions and submit completed paperwork and program materials in a timely fashion
  • Supervise and assist support staff with program logistics as needed (i.e. check-in on Arrival Day, unpacking supplies, loading and unloading supplies at program sites)
  • Direct management of all program materials and ensure curriculum is appropriately collected
  • Respond to customer concerns and collaborate with Co-Leads to resolve as needed
  • Serve as Crisis Lead if needed and maintain overnight availability
  • Perform other duties as designated by the program leadership



Business Administration



  • Assist with leading training segments for members of seasonal teams
  • Monitor all tracking of customer communication and complete all needed documentation
  • Ensure all needs for special guests are met (i.e. parking passes, audio visual)
  • Maintain emergency telephone number and 24-hour availability at all times while Program is in session
  • Meet with senior leadership team daily and provide notes to Manager in conjunction with Program Lead and Scholar Relations Lead, if applicable
  • Meet with Co-Leads Daily to complete Nightly Report



Staff Management



  • Supervise Advisors as well as Program Supports and Education Support (if applicable)
  • Facilitate daily meetings with Education Staff and team as needed
  • Observe staff and provide feedback at regular intervals
  • Assist with leading training segments for members of seasonal teams



Financial Management



  • Utilize and reconcile credit cards according to company policy (if applicable)



Health & Safety Responsibilities



  • Clean and sanitize equipment and spaces
  • Perform temperature checks
  • Be around large groups
  • Wear a face mask and any other PPE as required while performing all duties throughout your assigned workday
  • Model best practices for staying healthy throughout the program
  • Enforce health and safety guidelines among scholars and staff
  • Responsibilities and requirements for this role may adapt and adjust with any new Local/State/Federal/Venue guidelines as well as recommendations and requirements from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for General Health & Safety. If there are any changes to the responsibilities or requirements of this position, you will be informed prior to your start date.



Qualifications



  • Knowledge and experience in one of more of the following program content areas: STEM, Leadership, or the fields of business, law, mock trial, national security, forensic science, engineering, gaming/technology, and medicine (preferred)
  • Bachelor's level education or current student; Master's or higher (preferred)
  • Previous experience working with the age group of the program (elementary, middle school, or high school students) (preferred)
  • Experience facilitating curriculum and managing a classroom
  • Strong logistical and organization skills
  • Must be able to bend and lift boxes up to 50 lbs. in addition to walking various distances on college campuses
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems
  • Maturity and professionalism
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to set expectations for and enforce appropriate student behavior
  • Able to work efficiently in a team environment
  • Previous experience with Envision by WorldStrides (preferred)

  • Are high energy, flexible, and able to work extended days and hours

** Envision by WorldStrides' programs are held on college campuses and at conference centers across the United States. Positions could be based at any program location. The approximate start date in 2022 is June 15th **
