Logistics Support

The Logistics Support (LS) staff are members of the Scholar Experience Team and are responsible for the total customer experience; from logistical implementation to being available for any student or other customer that needs individual attention.Work may include: working behind the scenes to ensure that all events run smoothly, performing administrative tasks such as filing paperwork and sorting program materials, interacting with and supervising students, , communicating with families, vendors and key contacts, overseeing a program's in-field social media initiatives, being responsible for program equipment (i.e. cars, communication equipment) and monies, and other responsibilities assigned. This position is physical; including heavy lifting and walking/being on one's feet for long periods of time. Logistics Support team members report to the Program Lead.

Responsibilities



  • Monitor the safety and whereabouts of students at all times
  • Be knowledgeable of all policies and procedures and assist in their enforcement, include student conduct and dress code
  • Interact with parents and students in a customer service-friendly manner
  • Advance the location of program events to ensure proper set up and the logistical success of the event
  • Advance offsite visits to prepare for students' arrival
  • Coordinate the arrival and storage of program materials, including trips to offsite storage locations
  • Coordinate the inventorying and sorting of program materials and paperwork (pre-distribution)
  • Coordinate the distribution of all program materials
  • Restock supplies when needed
  • Follow accounting procedures for program related expenses
  • Alternate with other team members to lead activities during social/recreation time
  • Assist with on-site set up and take down at the beginning and end of each session, as well as the end of the cycle
  • Prepare all meeting rooms and deliver organized program materials according to curricular needs
  • Identify and solve any logistical problems that arise efficiently and professionally
  • Attend daily staff meetings
  • Work closely, cooperatively and amicably with all staff members
  • Assist with on-site set up and take down at the end of each session, as well as at the end of the cycle
  • Perform other duties as determined by the program leadership



Logistics Support Qualifications



  • Bachelor's level education or current student
  • Previous experience working with Elementary, Middle, or High School Students
  • Strong logistical and organization skills
  • Must be able to bend and lift boxes up to 50 lbs. and walk various distances on site
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems
  • Maturity and professionalism
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to set expectations for and enforce appropriate student behavior
  • Some positions include driving the program vehicle; qualifications to drive the program vehicle include a valid US driver licenses and being 21 years of age
  • *For Advanced Emergency Medicine, Stanford - Must be currently accepted Medical Student or similar medical professional



Health & Safety Responsibilities



  • Clean and sanitize equipment and spaces
  • Perform temperature checks
  • Be around large groups
  • Wear a face mask and any other PPE as required while performing all duties throughout your assigned workday
  • Model best practices for staying healthy throughout the program
  • Enforce health and safety guidelines among scholars and staff
  • Responsibilities and Requirements for this role may adapt and adjust with any new Local/State/Federal/Venue guidelines as well as recommendations and requirements from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for General Health & Safety. If there are any changes to the responsibilities or requirements of this position, you will be informed prior to your start date.

Successful Candidates



  • Are high energy, flexible, and able to work extended days and hours
  • Reside at the program site
  • Can complete a mandatory training program prior to working first session
  • Can pass a mandatory background check
  • Are eligible to work in the United States


** Envision by WorldStrides' programs are held on college campuses and at conference centers across the United States. Positions could be based at any program location. The approximate start date in 2022 is June 15th. **


Field
