Link is looking for a highly motivated candidate to lead the origination of new loans for Link's 3,500+ stabilized assets and 100+ development projects. Reporting directly to Link's head of debt capital markets, the role will involve building new and existing relationships with lenders to originate construction, transitional or permanent loans, working closely with Link's Investment, Development, and Property Management teams to prepare loan materials and ensure smooth loan closings to execute construction projects and portfolio strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Loan Origination: Identify and evaluate potential lending institutions suitable for financing both stabilized assets and assets under development. Prepare marketing materials and lead lender due diligence process. Collaborate with legal counsel to review, negotiate, and finalize loan documentation.

  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with lenders and other financial institutions. Cultivate partnerships to secure competitive loan terms.

  • Financial Analysis: Perform financial modeling and analysis to evaluate financing, including cash flow projections and/or cost estimation. Prepare comprehensive loan packages to present to lenders.

  • Coordination: Collaborate with Link Investment or Development teams and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and documentation for financings. Coordinate with Blackstone's Capital Markets and Asset Management teams to ensure smooth loan origination process.

  • Help manage and guide junior team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, business administration, or a related field

  • 5+ years' experience in loan origination or similar capital markets roles

  • In-depth knowledge of construction financing, loan structuring, and underwriting processes

  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with lenders and financial institutions

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel

$220,000 - $260,000 represents the presently anticipated base compensation pay range for this position at Link. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
