Maintenance Mechanic - $ Sign-on Bonus Eligible $

The Maintenance Mechanic will work independently to maintain, diagnose, and repair all types of CDL vehicles, fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and other powered equipment/tools. This position will be required to make some minor repairs internally and will also work closely with outside vendors to schedule major repairs, maintenance, or equipment upgrades.

The Maintenance Mechanic will work with the operations team to effectively coordinate, schedule, and prioritize repair and maintenance tasks. This individual must be able to accurately communicate with groups or individuals to solve problems. This position requires a self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented position. This individual will work independently with minimal assistance. This individual will be required to understand and abide by safety procedures when working on/or around vehicles and equipment.

Additionally, this position will also be responsible for:

• Actively supporting and ensuring the company maintains DOT compliance
• Regularly performing inventory inspections to maintain replacement parts, required expendable materials, personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes placing orders with vendors and suppliers while adhering to our internal Purchase Order system.
• Reviewing new equipment specifications and or performance of the truck/equipment when acquiring new equipment.
• Regularly attending additional trainings to gain working knowledge of applicable specialty equipment.
• Working directly with truck and/or equipment manufacturers, dealers, or repair companies on technical issues, recalls, or general questions.
• Support the development and/or improvement of internal processes in regards to maintenance and inventory.
• Performing general building maintenance required at the facility.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly facility.
• Complies with all health and safety policies, procedures, practices, and regulations.

Position Requirements:

• To qualify you must have at least (5 to 10) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of CDL vehicles, fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and other powered equipment/tools.
• A high school diploma and valid driver's license is a must (CDL License is preferred but not required).
• Must be able towork in all locations at the facility, under extremes of hot and cold, and in areas of dust,noiseand wet conditions.
• Must be able towear a respirator (as needed),climb a ladder to access equipment and work from heights using fall protection,lift heavy objects, and other manual labor to includingpushing, pulling,sweepingand shoveling.
• Work hours 5 days a week Monday through Friday (day shift with regular overtime opportunities)
