Job Position: We are looking for Senior Software Engineer with geometry and CAD/CAM development experience who is motivated and operates at a high level of responsibility. The position requires strong development skills and necessitates the ability understand, experiment and implement functional solutions into code. The candidate must take initiative to problem solve and drive towards good quality working software.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Building solutions primarily in C++ for our optical design software tools used by major consumer electronics companies
  • Comfortable working with a large code base and motivated to re-design and re-factor various aspects of the software
  • Employ state-of-the-art development tools and practices to ensure high-quality and high-performance solutions are delivered to the market efficiently
  • Work with developers, testers and customer representatives in an agile environment to create software solutions to tackle cutting edge problems
  • Actively seek out opportunities to expand their knowledge and skills and willingness to share it with others
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelors or higher degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Physics, Optics, Math, Engineering)
  • Strong foundation in 3D geometry and numerical methods
  • 6+ years' experience as a top performing technical software developer with an aptitude and passion of writing technical application software
  • Multiple years and deep understanding of the C++ language
  • Strong communication skills for working in team as well as the ability to interface with subject experts to translate technical know-how into product solutions
  • Experience working with large commercial software systems in a team environment
Knowledge and expertise in any of the following areas is a plus:
  • Experience in debugging parallel applications as well as improving their performance
  • Working knowledge of Fortran
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, MFC and/or .Net
