Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a talented and dynamic Chemical Dependency Therapist - PRN

Position Description:

The Social Worker/Therapist plans, provides, coordinates, documents and evaluates direct and indirect social services to patients, in both the acute and outpatient settings, in accordance with established methods and procedures of the hospital. These services include but are not limited to group therapy, case management, discharge planning and meeting with the family.

  • Maintains documentation on all required admission, treatment, and discharge documents in accordance with department /hospital standards and requirements of regulatory bodies.
  • Develops and implements with other clinical staff the Master Treatment Plan and updates as needed.
  • Carries out treatment as outlined in the Master Treatment Plan for social services.
  • Collaborates with the physician and the family to ensure that all to ensure that all aspects of the therapeutic process are implemented and carried out.

Knowledge about legal issues related to court commits, confidentiality, power of attorney, advanced directives and competency as defined by State law for area of professional practice

Qualifications

Minimum: Mississippi Association of Addiction Professionals (MAAP) Alcohol and Drug Certification (CACD I). Bachelors Degree in Social Work or related field. CPR and De-escalation certification required. 2 years experience in a CD setting.
