Position Summary The MS Clinical Psychology Program Director oversees the academic/programmatic components of the program and will be eligible for faculty appointment at a level commensurate with experience. Position responsibilities include: 1) Oversight of student recruitment, admission, and retention through collaboration with internal departments (Strategic Enrollment, Admissions) and via participation in recruitment and orientation events; 2) Oversight of academic program development, as well as program policies and procedures. Responsibilities within this domain include developing academic policies and procedures, monitoring compliance of these, and reviewing/updating all pertinent web-based materials and published documents related to curriculum development, evaluation and implementation. 3) Program administration responsibilities including but not limited to: advising the Chair on appropriate staffing for the courses of the program and supervising adjunct faculty assigned to the program; working with the associate director of clinical training to facilitate practicum placements for students; making budget requests and contributing to the budget planning activities of the Chair as needed to ensure the financial stability of the program; assisting with adjunct faculty hiring; in conjunction with program faculty, developing and maintaining cooperative and collaborative relationships, activities and communication with other programs within the College; engaging with alumni and tracking proximal and distal program outcomes; participating in the department advisory board; 4) Teaching courses within the MS clinical counseling program and Psychology Department; 5) Participating in Department, College, and University service. Who We Are The MS Clinical Counseling Program is housed within the Department of Psychology at RFUMS and is designed as a full-time two-year terminal master's program in which students, upon completion of the program and passing the national licensure examination, are eligible for licensure in the state of IL. The Department consists of 10 full time doctoral-level faculty and offers a PhD program in clinical psychology (accredited by the American Psychological Association) along with the MS Clinical Counseling program.
