Our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Team is seeking a Project Analyst to assist the government in coordinating and implementing projects to address emerging threats. What You Will Do:
- Develop and review tailored technical materials to convey programmatic information using a wide array of formats and for a diverse group of private sector stakeholders
- Perform meeting management activities to include scheduling, coordinating administrative and logistical needs, as well as the development of supporting materials, summary reports, action items, and meeting minutes
- Perform research, apply appropriate analytical methodologies, and summarize findings for complex problems
- Develop talking points, meeting minutes, slide presentations, slick sheets, and other specialty writing assignments to support internal and external stakeholder information sharing
- Support the development and maintenance of strategies, which establish linkage among planning elements such as vision, mission, goals, objectives, strategies, performance management initiatives, and multi-year planning activities
- Create internal policies, procedures, and business process guidelines
- Draft responses to government stakeholder queries
- Prepare responses and submit requests using the DHS Exec Sec (CATT) system
What You Will Need:
Education and Experience
- Undergraduate degree required; preferably in the fields of public policy/administration, communications/marketing, homeland security and/or English
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience required; prefer 5+ years of demonstrated experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Current DOD clearance or active DHS suitability preferred
- General knowledge of and interest in infrastructure protection, cyber systems, networks, and assets or risk management required
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint required
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research, analyze resulting information and document observations required
- Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple priorities concurrently
- Must possess strong interpersonal communications and teamwork skills
- Current DHS suitability or Secret clearance desired
- U.S. citizenship required
