As a member of our dynamic group, you will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to shape upcoming products that will delight and inspire millions of Apple's customers every day Apple SAR Engineering team is looking for an engineer to work on RF Exposure (SAR/MPE) characterization across different wireless technologies for Apple's wireless products

Key Qualifications

  • Working experience of antenna design and tests, in particular hands-on experience for compliance measurements is desirable
  • Working Experience with different wireless communication systems such as GSM/UMTS/LTE, 802.11xx, Bluetooth etc. including the corresponding system level specifications (e.g., ETSI 51.010, 51.05...) is important.
  • Working Experience with regulatory requirements and certification process for wireless consumer devices, including FCC, PTCRB, CTIA, ETSI, 3GPP etc.
  • Excellent communication skills required, both written & verbal
  • Experience with 5GmmWave standard and/or hands-on chamber/system level understanding is a plus.
  • Experience with Antenna/EM simulation tools is a plus.


Description

* Validating RF Exposure test cases for different regulatory domains in certification test setups. * Translating WW regulatory requirements into test cases. Coordinating with regulatory compliance teams to ensure product validation covers all certification tests. * Define/execute validation plan for RF Exposure facing SW features. * Debugging marginal/failure tests with cross-functional teams like RFHW /Antenna/ Product Design/EE/etc. and drive design changes to address issues * Maintain test setups via periodic checks, calibration, etc. * Help Regulatory Compliance teams in planning/executing on final certification testing at 3rd party test labs.

Education & Experience

BS degree in technical discipline with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
