Job Description

Ensign-Bickford Industries, Inc. (EBI) is seeking a proactive team player for the position of Data Integration Lead, reporting to the Manager, Data and Analytics. Ideally, this position would be located at one of the EBI business sites: Simsbury, CT (manager location), St. Louis, MO, Portland, ME, Moorpark, CA, and Denver, CO (remote option also available).

Position Summary

With this growth comes an increased use and need to integrate the various technical applications and systems that support daily business functions across EBI, and we continue to actively expand our digital toolset to connect these systems and maximize the value of data.

The Data Integration Lead will be responsible for supporting all EBI data integration needs related to ERP, payroll, HR and other critical applications primarily using the Boomi integration platform. This role requires the Data Integration Lead to work within the EBI Data Integration Framework to assist customers in gathering requirements, designing, building, testing and implementing data integration solutions. Responsibilities also include providing quality technical support across the EBI data integration stack. The Data Integration Lead will also be expected to support other integration tools outside of Boomi, such as Microsoft Visual Studio, where necessary. Ultimately, the Data Integration Lead will be the champion, owner and architect of system integration efforts across EBI and responsible for the complete integration lifecycle.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Primary owner and developer for EBI integration projects. This will include re-implementation of existing non-Boomi integrations to support system maturity.

  • Managing and maintaining the EBI Boomi environment, including on-premise Atoms. This includes ensuring ongoing uptime and availability of integration processes.

  • Working and communicating directly with Business Analysts, System Experts and others to gather requirements, design, build and implement integration solutions. This includes applying best practices and expert knowledge to implement effective solutions.

  • Post-implementation support of data integrations. This includes change management and ownership of technical testing when new releases, critical fixes and other changes are required.

  • Practicing and advocating for strong SDLC practices within the IT team and EBI businesses; ensuring projects follow the EBI Data Integration Framework lifecycle.

  • Positively contribute to IT's Service Level Agreements (SLA) through active ticket resolution in our ServiceNow system.

  • Championing and proactively pursuing process improvement opportunities that will benefit EBI businesses.

  • Travel restrictions permitting, this role may require occasional travel - including international - to support business needs.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Candidate must be a U.S. Person.

  • Positive, proactive work ethic with a focus on owning the process.

  • Effective communication with customers, stakeholders, and management in a project management setting.

  • Experience with Groovy script. JavaScript experience is a plus.

  • Experience with JSON and XML-based integration design.

  • Experience with ODATA, SQL Server, Workday, ADP, MES, Concur, o365/Azure and API-based end-points preferred.

  • Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail on SDLC practices.

  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment; A strong team player with a high degree of self-management and able to self-direct with minimal supervision.

  • Display willingness to make timely decisions; exhibit sound and accurate judgment, include appropriate people in decision-making process.

  • Experience with using Lean Six Sigma problem solving methods and tools is desired.

  • IFS Boomi Connector experience a plus.

  • SQL Server and Oracle integration experience a plus.

  • Visual Studio development experience a plus.

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience with Dell Boomi software in a development and support role. Integration exposure to ERP systems preferred.

  • 5+ years of overall IT experience

  • Experience with leading complex initiatives and technical activities

  • Experience solving complex business challenges by identifying and leveraging technology as part of the solution.

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, MIS or similar technical discipline preferred but not required.
