Data Link Operator/Trainer

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Current SSBI Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance / access
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time (20-25 weeks a year)
  • Possess understanding of Command and Control Systems and Link 16. Knowledge of MIL-STD 6011, 6016, 6018, 6020, 2525 and 3011
  • 5+ years' of Multi TDL experience and training
  • Formal military/technical training and/or STANEVAL process in military crew positional certification.
  • Must obtain and maintain 616 OC/JICC TDL certification
  • Ability to work independently and with a team


DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Familiarity with Multi-TDL operations across multiple theaters to include both line-of-sight RF participants and the JREAP / beyond line-of-sight (BLOS) Link 16 participants
  • Completion of formal Joint Interoperability & Data Link Training Center (JID-TC) courses (JT -100, JT-101, JT-102, JT-201, JT-202, JT-220, JT-301 or JT-310)
  • A DLO positional certification within the AF-DCGS or RC-135 RIVET JOINT weapon system
  • Air Force National-Tactical Information (AFNTI)-Operations experience and ISR systems knowledge
  • Excellent communications and writing skills; to include experience with technical and professional writing
  • Possess strong organizational skills and have ability to manage multi-tasking

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Data Link Operator (DLO) Mobile Training Team (MTT) supports Air Combat Command, the 480th ISR Wing and the 16 AF/616 Operations Center (OC) Joint Interface Control Cell (JICC) conducting mobile DLO training at AF-DCGS sites worldwide



  • Provide course planning and administration, which includes development and maintenance of schedules, scheduling hands-on field training, student briefs, handouts and administrative documents, and student notification processes
  • Develop curriculum, conduct instruction, and maintain MTT courses in support of current and future training requirements
  • Manage the 616 OC/JICC training and STANEVAL program for all certified DLOs across 3 shifts on a 24/7 watch
  • May require shift work to maintain 616 OC TDL certification and will require up to 50% travel, to include over weekends
