What you'll be doing...

The Verizon Consumer Technology organization is looking for a Principal Engineer-Software Development to join the Frontline Experience Team to lead self-serve web and app-digital solutions for Verizon Add-ons and +play products. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading Front End design, architecture and implementation of enrolment and management of perks like Disney+, discovery+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Google Play Pass, Netflix, NFL, NBA, and all other +play offers on desktop web and Verizon iOS/Android app.
  • Building and delivering such solutions/products/applications to meet North Star Architecture and standards.
  • Analyzing and evaluating systems to drive business results and gain in-depth understanding of the customer behavior and system inefficiencies to help.
  • Improving on critical KPI such as call rate, do-it-yourself rate, channel mix rate, and Ticket influx.
  • Managing between large, functionally diverse and geographically spread out teams such as product owners, Onshore/Offshore development teams, Marketing teams, and experience definition teams.
  • Representing the team on all the agile sprints related to the Products and Apps application and track regular status of projects/deliverables/activities.
  • Evaluating new projects, and provide overall cross team effort required.
  • Ensuring security and operational efficiency at the core of all work done to achieve system stability and availability.
  • Working on cutting edge technologies, Java 8, Microservices, Spring Boot, React JS, AEM, AWS, K8S, APIGEE, FluentD, ELK stack, Redis, and GraphQL.

Where you'll be working...

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in various stages of SDLC/Agile/DevOps.
  • Experience in Java, Micro services, Spring Boot, AWS,AEM, K8s, FluentD, APIGEE, ELK, Redis, GraphQL, and React JS.
  • Knowledge of Solutions Architecture and Operationalizing Applications.
  • Knowledge of E2E domain, knowledge in telecom/wireless industry with experience in driving self-service, channel mix, customer experience and business in the right direction.
  • Technical experience in designing and building applications.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.

If you are hired into a California work location, the compensation range for this position is between $129,000 and $240,000 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
