Logistics Engineer III - Configuration Management

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Five years' of experience providing lifecycle logistical support for C4ISR systems to the Department of Defense in at least five of the following eight areas. Experience may be concurrent:

    • Configuration Management and auditing of hardware, software and documentation
    • Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data
    • Developing, updating, or implementing Configuration Management Plans
    • Establishing and tracking workflows
    • CMPro
    • Providing CM services in support of Configuration Control Boards (CCB)
    • Identification, baselining, and tracking of Configuration items
    • Analyzing and reporting impact of Engineering Change Requests/Proposals (ECR/ECP) on configuration controlled items


  • This position also requires an understanding of MIL-HDBK-61A


DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Seven years' experience in six of the eight areas. Experience may be concurrent

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Provides configuration management support for multiple C4ISR systems
  • Identifies, documents, and maintains control of approved hardware, software, and document baselines
  • Analyzes and reports the impact of Engineering Change
  • Requests and Proposals on Configuration Items
  • Conducts periodic baseline auditing
  • Using CMPro, provides configuration management services in support of audits, ECRs, ECPs, and CCBs that include establishing and tracking
    workflows and maintaining artifact version control for all items under configuration
  • Develops and/or presents CM-related briefings to project stakeholders
  • Provides oversight of all CM processes and procedures to validate compliance with the approved Configuration Management Plan and provides guidance to team members when needed
